WAYNE is a Melbourne-based First Nations artist, MC, photographer and speaker whose creative vision bridges culture, technology and storytelling. As one of Australia’s most celebrated modern First Nations creators, he has spent over three decades documenting and celebrating Indigenous culture, tradition and contemporary life through art, photography and performance. His work has been showcased in more than 350 exhibitions worldwide, combining traditional and digital art, immersive installations and large-scale projections that captivate audiences of all backgrounds.
Associate Professor WAYNE has received numerous prestigious awards, including NAIDOC Artist of the Year and National Portrait Gallery Portrait of the Year. He is the creator of Connections, the world’s largest Indigenous digital art immersion, exhibited at the National Museum and The Lume Melbourne.
