Tim - MC, Motivational Speaker
Meet Timothy Gray, a remarkable individual with a story of resilience and artistic brilliance.
Timothy, a Gumbayngirr/Wiradjuri/Bidjigal man born in Macksville on the Mid-North Coast of NSW, now calls Redfern home. He's not just an accomplished singer and songwriter; he's the driving force behind the 7-piece Reggae fusion sensation, the Green Hand Band. With two CDs under their belt, they've captured hearts with their unique sound.
But Timothy's talents don't stop there. He's a composer of classical music, and his influence extends to the Board of Tribal Warrior Corporation, where he first embarked on his journey in 2006, eventually becoming a qualified deckhand.
Tim's life story is one of profound transformation. From a challenging upbringing in Western Sydney, he emerged from a tumultuous period of homelessness, addiction, and despair. Tim's cousin Reese played a pivotal role, offering him a lifeline at a critical moment.
Determined to rebuild his life, Tim embraced sobriety, secured his first job, and pursued a passion for music. He studied at TAFE, forming his first band and composing heartfelt melodies. Tim also deepened his connection to his Aboriginal heritage, by working with empowerment associations.
Today, Timothy Gray isn't just an artist; he's an inspirational speaker. His journey from the depths of addiction to triumph over adversity is a beacon of hope for young souls facing similar struggles. Invite Tim to your next conference or event, and let his story ignite inspiration and motivation.
