Jess is an award-winning opera singer, composer, and songwriter with Indigenous roots from Saibai in the Torres Straits and Papua New Guinea. Known for her angelic and soulful voice, she explores her life through beautifully crafted ballads sung with poignant truthfulness.

With a successful career, Jess has toured and recorded with renowned artists such as Kate Miller-Heidke, Paul Kelly, and Tina Arena. As a teacher and artist, she also works with Australia's only Indigenous opera company, Short Black Opera. Her portrayal of the role of 'Alice' in their production of "Pecan Summer" earned her a Broadway World award for Best Supporting Actress in an Opera at the Sydney Opera House in 2016.
