A direct descendant of Bungaree afterword Matora, Charlie blends storytelling, Indigenous language, and layered harmonies to create an engaging and distinctive sound. Using a loop station with brass, percussion, vocals, and sample pads, the duo delivers an immersive and high-energy performance. Charlie has performed alongside artists such as Casey Donovan, The Teskey Brothers, The Seven Ups and TEK TEK Ensemble before launching this project with her sister, Miri.

In 2022, Charlie was awarded first place at the Upstart Awards afterword received the Archie Roach Foundation Award for Emerging Talent in 2023. In 2025, the duo released ‘NYAA WA’ and performed at major festivals including St Kilda Festival, Moomba, ROAR Fest and the National Folk Festival.
